Well, the last few months have been like waiting to open your Christmas present when you can see it wrapped up under the tree, and know what fabulous gift is inside, but you have to wait because it isn’t time yet – torture! Back in March we researched over 40 Album companies until we found one that we were mesmorized with, and we unabashedly fell in love! Top quality buttery leathers and contemporary fabrics, fully customizable with no design limitations, and edge to edge photo spreads, were just some of the reasons for our choice. We will continue to carry our popular high end coffee table Art books and classic matted Albums, but this new offering is something very special to behold. I’m sure she will be pretty popular and will be receiving lots of visitors, and if you are one of our couples who want to take a look before choosing your final Wedding Album, just let us know and we’ll set up a date!

We just received our first studio sample, and I had to take a few shots to share it with you. Here are some of the reasons we are so excited…

We decided to create a modern take on the traditional white Wedding Album, and chose a combination of luxurious creamy pearl leather with an unconventional bolt of copper leather to serve as a backdrop for the metal cameo portrait. These colours also tie in with the modern vintage theme of Casey and Erica’s Wedding, our fabulous couple from February.

Each photo spread is expertly mounted into the book, and each page will lay flat when opened.

Because of this design, we can offer either split or complete panoramic prints within the Album. On this Album, we chose the panoramic design where there is literally no gap between the pages – stunning! Either option will allow us more flexibility when designing Album spreads, and we can’t wait to take advantage of this feature with some high-impact panoramics of favorite images from each Wedding.

An example of the lovely textured leathers of this Album. We are excited to have the flexibility to offer two different leather or fabric choices for our Album covers, and can completely customize the look and feel of each Spark Storybook.

We’ve been cautious to offer Albums with photos on the cover in the past, as although we love the concept, we have been concerned that the photo may lift over time, or be vulnerable to fingerprints and dust. Every Spark Storybook will now have the option of a metal cameo where an image is screened directly onto a metal plate, and mounted so that it will lay flat on the Album cover – gorgeous! The image can be in colour or monotone, and we can design the cameo to any size – even to fill the entire front side! Modern and unique, this is something that has to be seen to truly appreciate.

Pricing for primary Spark Storybooks begins at $1400, which includes a large Storybook with 30 pages of panoramic prints, your choice of a luxury leather or fabric cover, and optional metal cameo. There are lots of choices available, and we look forward to designing your Storybook with you!
