A few raindrops…like that’s going to slow us down! Thankfully Paula, Aaron and their wedding party were up for a bit of a “photo safari” despite the inclement weather, and we had a fabulous time exploring around Vancouver before their ceremony at the UBC Rose Garden. Off and on during the Session we used our trusty fleet of umbrellas, which I think is romantic and even a bit magical. Here are a few from our time together…

This first shot was just moments before the ceremony began. Within minutes of these images, the sky cleared enough that people could put away their umbrellas, and their beautiful ceremony commenced…

It was a sweltering 36 degrees when Katie and Lawrence tied the knot at Nicklaus North in Whistler, but that didn’t slow the party down one bit! Fortunately, there are so many beautiful places around the golf course to explore we didn’t have to walk very far to reach some magical spots. In fact, a field of wildflowers popped up conveniently within a few houses of where Lawrence and Katie were getting ready! Here is a glimpse into their Wedding Day…

We had a fun time with Roxanna and Thomas, and are so glad that we decided to go ahead with the Session even with the threat of a thunderstorm! Instead of rain, we found some beautiful dreamy light, and had a great time exploring the area together with them.

Last Fall, we were the photographers for the Vancouver Wedding Show‘s $50,000 Grand Prize! It was so exciting to watch the big draw on the last day of the Show, and even more so when we realized how great a fit it will be to work with Courtney and Jason! We can’t wait for their destination Wedding in August! In the meantime, here are a few images from their Engagement Session.

This past Saturday, we not only lucked out with some fabulous weather in an otherwise rainy and cold June, but we also had the privilege to witness Allan and Celine’s wedding!

We were lucky enough to see both the bride and groom before the ceremony as they got ready with their attendants. Celine just glowed as the sun flooded into her suite at the Pan Pacific, while Allan relaxed with his groomsmen at his parent’s house.

Celine’s gown was stunning! It had been custom designed for her in the Philippines, and was flown into Vancouver along with her incredibly beautiful cathedral-length veil.

While waiting for their wedding car to arrive after the ceremony, we found a quiet spot behind the church for a few portraits of the newlyweds.

Then we headed to Kits beach for some more photos with the Wedding Party.

Lately we have been suggesting that our brides bring along a change of shoes for the portrait session, as we often go for walking tours. Celine was more than prepared with her brand new Nikes, which had the sweetest laces with hearts embroidered on them!

Then it was back to the Pan Pacific for a few quick shots before heading into the reception. As music is a big part of their lives, we took advantage of the grand piano in the lounge…

Early last Saturday morning we headed off to Granville Island for Lorrie and Marty’s Engagement Session. It was pretty cold when we started shooting, but nothing that a bit of cuddling couldn’t cure! We can’t wait for their pastoral Wedding at the end of July, and we had a great time finding some urban locations for their Engagement Session. Take a peek..B

Because we thought the weather might be a bit uncooperative that morning, we brought along a couple of umbrellas “just in case”. Turns out they came in handy!

The Ceremony and Reception were held at Redwoods Golf Course in Langley. It was such a beautiful day to be outside!

Just married!

After the Ceremony, we took off with the Wedding Party for some location portraits before coming back to Redwoods. This was one spot where we just took the newlyweds. It was so beautiful with the mountains and buttercup fields.
